During the production, coating and subsequent treatment of foils and films it is often necessary to hold or press the film slightly with a certain force to a roller or to another surface. The desired effect is reached by spraying charges onto the film. An advantage of this procedure in relation to mechanical solutions is that it also and particularly functions with mechanically unstable films, for example if they are very thin or still in viscous condition.

In principle standard FuG power supplies can be used for this application. However often it is necessary to insert special additional circuits co-ordinated with the respective manufacturing plant for example for the control or for the protection of the foils from flash over. FuG has extensive experience in the area of such customized power supplies.
