Electrostatic filters are used, in order to remove impurities from air smoke or gas flows. Usually the unwanted particles are charged by a corona discharge. After that they will be attracted by an electrode of the opposite polarity, where they will be fastened or mechanically removed .

The high voltage supplies used for this application do not need a high accuracy, however must be of extremely durability and reliability. Frequently occurring flashovers and short-circuits at the output must be accepted without problems. Often these units are operated continuously without any shut down during periods of up to several years. Even under such conditions and long duration of continuous work, the units shall show no faults.

High voltage supply for filtering unit for air cleaning

10 sources with each:

High voltage 1:	20kV, 80mA
High voltage 2:	8kV, 1mA
