We thank all customers who have kept us fidelity in difficult times, and sent us despite economic crisis their orders, and all business partners for their good and fruitful cooperation during the year 2009 and look forward to a successful 2010.

New price list from January - some power supplies cheaper now!

From 1st January 2010 new prices will become valid for our products. The overall cost increase did force us to adjust our sales prices accordingly. However with an average increase of 2.5% we have tried to hold the price increase in a reasonable framework.

At the same time, we are constantly considering how we can meet the ideas and interests of our customers better than before. Where we find means to reduce costs, we like to pass this on to our customers. Therefore, the new price list now includes units of the series MCP, HCP and HCK, in particularly in the area with voltages up to 12500V and power to 15kW, where prices have fallen significantly due to new production techology.

FuG delivers to Fermi@Elettra

The Free Electron Laser (FEL) Fermi@Elettra near Trieste in Italy by its coherent radiation of highest brillance opens completely new research prospects. For the construction the already existing linear accelerator will be upgraded and extended. However FEL - operation mode requires a more sophisticated accellerator technology:
The pulse rate is rised from 10 Hz to now 50 Hz, while the stability of amplitude and phase of the RF pulses has to be very high in the same time. Therefore are new high voltage supplies necessary for the 7 already existing klystron sections as well as also for the 7 newly to be built sections.

As already for the existing accelerator again FuG Elektronik has been choosen as supplier. The high voltage supplies HCK 50000M - 50000 deliver adjustable voltage up to 50 kV with up to 2A current. The PFN (Pulse Forming Network) of the accellerator 50 times per second will be charged in constant current mode up to the adjusted voltage. Reproducibility of charging voltage is better than 0,01% with a long term stability of 0,001% /8h. Despite to these high requirements FuG has reached the goal to fit the whole unit in one double 19" cabinet. The factory approval of the proto type has been already performed to the customers satisfaction. Further 13 units are in the end stage of manufacturing or already on the way to Trieste (see Photograph)

30 years FuG - 40,000th power supply delivered
 

On 1st of July 2008 our company celebrated its 30th anniversary of founding. The happening was performed on 4th of July by the whole staff including dependants in Pullach castle. Here some impressions:

Just in time before the 30th anniversary, the 40,000th from the beginning power supply unit of FuG has been delivered on the 24th of June. The HCV 15550M-150000 went to our customer - company Steigerwald in Maisach. In the future it will be used in an electron beam welding machine.

GERMANY at CERN 2008

February  26th and February 27th the 10th exhibition GERMANY AT CERN was arranged at the European research institute CERN in Geneva. FuG took the opportunity to interesting conversations with customers and end users, and made good business contacts.
